First Haircut

Jase had his first haircut yesterday. We went to Cool Cuts for Kids. He got to sit in a Fire Chief Car and watch Elmo. He did not like it at all!



The haircut came out great!

Happy Birthday!

Today is J's first birthday!! We had a great time at his party this weekend. J started in the toddler room at daycare today! Time is going by way too fast!!!!!!

Walking!

J took his first steps on April 20th! Since then, he has not walked much...

Today he decided to walk at daycare. Everyone was quite excited! He is doing great at walking. I will post a video this weekend.

He had a great time with his grandma and grandpa from Boca the last two weekends. He even got to meet his cousins from Long Island!

J loves to be outside...


Whenever we open up the blinds, he crawls over to the door and looks outside...

Sleeping at the Dinner Table

There are some nights when little J just can't stay awake at the table...





We are all very excited about going down to south Florida to visit my parents, sister and my nephews!!! Everyone is in town for spring break! I know J will have a great time with his cousins!

Walking!

It has finally happened! J has started walking with his walker and when I hold his hands.


He is doing really well with table foods. His favorite thing to eat is Cheerios. He is also getting pretty good at drinking from a sippy cup. He is growing up way too fast!!!

J got a new toy box for all of his toys and he loves to open and close it just to make noise...
We are looking forward to our visit with my sister and the kids. A week and a half away! I know J is looking forward to seeing everyone.

Sick!!!

Well, we are all sick in our household. Jim and I both have sinus infections and J has infected tear ducts and a minor ear infection. J is starting to feel better already. He's been on antibiotics for 2 days now...

I am still working overtime, of course. Oh well....

J is very good at furniture surfing. He is also eating table food now! He seems to really enjoy Cheerios, green beans and Ritz crackers. The other night he actually fell asleep in his high chair at the dinner table!



He has discovered toilet paper..

Baby Jail

J has been sick all week. He finally felt well enough to go to daycare on Friday. He isn't 100% better, but he has definitely improved. Now that he is mobile, we need to finish childproofing the house. Today Jim installed the baby gate. J doesn't seem to love it, but it is there to help keep him safe.


Now we just have to figure out how to block off the living room area. Right now we are using our dining room chairs...

Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Bob came to visit last weekend. J had a great time! They even brought a giant Pooh Bear! It is now his favorite toy in the entire world!! He snuggles with it every night...



J also loves the piano. He tries to play it every chance he gets!

Standing!

Well, it's been awhile since I've written anything... I've been trying to keep up with J. He is definitely a handful! He has mastering the act of standing!


Everything is going pretty well. He is finally sleeping through the night almost every night!! I think that another tooth is coming in. His bottom teeth have come all the way through and three of his top teeth have started coming in. He is chewing on everything! Including our coffee table!

Crawling!

He is crawling everywhere now! He is a crawling machine! When he sees something he wants, he gets it!



We are all finally starting to feel better. I am hoping to get a decent night sleep tonight. I can't believe that Christmas is next week already! It looks like I will be shopping this weekend!

Getting Bigger

Well, J is growing way too fast!! He has already learned how to kneel and he is very close to standing already. This is how I found him this morning:














So, we decided to lower the crib to the lowest setting. He seems to love being lower!


We are all starting to feel better! Unfortunately, I think it will take a few more days to feel 100% again.

Sick, Sick, Sick...

Well, this has been a very long week... J came down with a very bad cold on Monday and decided to share it with his mommy and daddy. He has been waking up every hour every night since Monday! Whenever he lays down, he has trouble breathing from being congested. The doctor said that it was just a cold and that it should be over soon. Jim stayed home with him on Tuesday and I've been working from home since Wednesday. Jim is also home today sick. Of course, Jim and I both had deadlines at work this week! I've been working overtime for the last 2 months, which is at least finally over!!!

I think J has loved me being home with him this week. Even though he has not been feeling well, he has still had fun playing with his toys. The rest of his hair has finally grown back! He has a full head of hair now!!



A few exciting things have happened this week. For starters, J can now sit up on his own without any support and he can sit up on his own from any position. Also, he decided to start crawling last night!! We now realize that we will be spending this weekend baby proofing the house. All that we had done up until now was the outlet covers.

Unfortunately, I have barely started Christmas shopping. I've been working too much to really even start. I am hoping that we will all be feeling better this weekend!

A lot has happened over the last week! I went back to work, which was not bad at all. The baby started daycare and he loves it!!! He slept the whole night through on Monday. He is usually so exhausted from playing all day that he goes right to sleep at bed time.

Also, his first two teeth are coming in. He hasn't been too happy about that...

He really enjoys his Jumperoo!




I also gave up on making his costume this year. I just don't have the time, so I bought one from Target. He is going to be a dragon! :)

SLEEP

Well, the baby finally sleeps through the night!! Last night he didn't wake up for a bottle, but he did wake up a few times screaming. When I went into his room, I found him on his tummy with his arm squished underneath him. The poor thing was just crying out of pain! As soon as I put him back on his back, he went right back to sleep. He sleeps a full 10 hours at night now! Yay!!!!!

I can't believe that he is rolling onto his tummy already. I also think that his teeth are getting ready to come in. He will chew on anything that he can get into his mouth!
